Welcome to WashTec UK

The history of WashTec UK is one of continual change and success. Since the company was first started in 1986 under the name Wesumat by Ian Kemp and John Hogan, it has always strived to be the first with new innovations and first class customer service and by listening to the needs of our clients; we believe that we have achieved this.

In 1986 Wesumat were the first company to launch a roll over carwash with contour drying facilities in the form of the Softwash W86, and in 1990 were again the first to be able to offer a twin high speed rollover with the SoftWash Janus.

As Wesumat’s reputation for excellence and innovation grew, so did the company and in 1993 Wesumat joined forces with Neptune under the Wesumat name.

Over the next seven years Wesumat stayed at the forefront of the industry with its continued run of firsts:

1994 – Two new high speed carwashes are launched under the names SoftWash Duo and SoftWash side by side.

1996 was a big year for Wesumat, not only did they launch the SoftWash Select, offering for the first time a 70 bar high pressure wash option and the Scanwash, the first touch free wash machines they also became a limited company and a solely owned subsidiary of Wesumat AG

1998- Wesumat UK starts production of the Jet Wash, Vacuum and Air and water tower equipment.

2000 – WashTec UK is formed by a merger with Wesumat and California Kliendienst

2003 – SoftCare range is launched along with the Intro and Pro

2004 – SoftCare Juno and SoftCare Evo are launched

2005 – SoftCare Bravo and SoftCare Takt are launched

2007 - The New SoftWash is launched in the Uk

2009 - The first WashTec superior AquaJet Touchless car wash arrives in the UK.

2010 - The new SoftCare Pro² is launched in the Uk

2011 - WashTec UK are able to offer full personalisation of its car washes, to match each clients own branding
