Tenby Road Service Station

After launching Ascona in 2011, we embarked on a high growth strategy in 2018. Since then, we have successfully expanded the business from two sites to 60 petrol stations across the UK in a little over three years.

With the business firmly ranked within the top 10 independent forecourt operators in the UK, our approach has been to develop our forecourts into world class roadside retail destinations via a process we call "Asconarisation". Each forecourt is upgraded to cater to the local community's needs, with a view to sustainable and profitable growth.

Our Tenby Road site is on the busy A40 through Carmarthen. It offers a wide range of services for the general public, and more importantly HGV customers, that use our station to refuel with hot food, toilets, and washroom facilities.

Our vision to offer leading roadside services to our customers has led to significant investment in the site as we look to “Asconnorise” it. As part of these, we have been working with our strategic partner, WashTec UK, to introduce a ‘First of its Kind’ truck washing facility which offers the very best technology available to our HGV driver customers.

Following an in-depth study into both local fleet and transit HGV traffic, it was clear that the WashTec truck wash would offer the most appropriate equipment to meet the needs, as well as diversity of vehicle, for our HGV customers. Operationally, we are also employing a fully ‘closed loop’ water recycling system to ensure we not only have the best commercial wash in South Wales, but also one of the more environmentally friendly in operation.

We are really excited about this as it marks the first installation of its kind across our sites. With multiple payment options available, the Tenby Road Truck Wash will offer our HGV customers additional services while maximising the potential of our busy petrol forecourt.
