WashTec sponsors local Augsburg professional canoeist Noah Hegge

Augsburg, April 2022 – Team spirit, dedication and efficiency: these are the qualities that characterise professional athletes and are actively put into practice at WashTec. WashTec is now the official sponsor of Augsburg canoeist Noah Hegge.

Augsburg-born Noah Hegge has been competing in the sport of canoe slalom in the single kayak category for 16 years. After completing his apprenticeship as a pastry chef, the now 23-year-old decided to pursue his sporting career more intensively. In 2018, he was accepted into the Bundeswehr's sports promotion section due to his sporting achievements and has been able to concentrate fully on sports ever since. In recent years, he has qualified for the U18, U23 and men's national teams and demonstrated his sporting prowess at World Cups as well as World and European Championships.

Noah Hegge is currently training at the Eiskanal in Augsburg and is preparing for the national qualification (06.05-08.05.2022) to compete at the Canoe Slalom World Championships in July 2022 in Augsburg. At the World Championships, 380 athletes from 70 nations will be competing in ten medal events. "Keeping the goal you are training towards in mind is important for me in every training session. It also makes me mentally stronger," Hegge explains. He is supported by his family, girlfriend, partners and sponsors. WashTec is now also one of Noah Hegge's sponsors.

Augsburg's water management system has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2019; the 'Eiskanal' sports facility at the Hochablass dam is also part of it. I train there for several hours every day to also establish myself among the world's best athletes."
